FRYEBURG — Ralph E. Davis, 94, of Westbrook, passed away on Thursday, June 25, 2015, at Fryeburg Healthcare Center, with his family by his side.

He was born in South Portland, on March 17, 1921, the son of the late Samuel and Alma J. (Marston) Davis.

He worked as a supervisor for Burnham and Morrill Co. and retired after 38 years. He was a World War II veteran, serving in the U.S. Army Battery B 110th Antiaircraft Artillery Gun Battalion. Ralph served in all six European campaigns. He was awarded six campaign stars and one service arrowhead.

Ralph was a Master Mason at Deering Lodge #183 in Portland for 58 years. He was also a member of the Independent Order of Odd Fellows at Presumpscot Lodge #91 in Falmouth for 55 years.

Ralph enjoyed hunting, fishing, daily walks, dancing, bowling, practicing Tai Chi, watching Boston Red Sox games, and singing country music while playing his accordion, harmonica and guitar. Ralph’s utmost pleasure was spending many hours playing cribbage with his beloved granddaughter Jennifer.

Ralph was predeceased by his wife Lucille; a son, Steven; a daughter, Donna DeClaro; nine brothers and two sisters.

He is survived by a son, Alan Davis of East Fryeburg; a stepdaughter, Arlene Dyer of Bridgton; two sisters, Irene Gilpatric of Gorham, and Geraldine Cyr of Warwick, R.I.; as well as numerous grandchildren; and great-grandchildren.

Visitation was held on Wednesday, July 1, 2015, from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. in the Jones, Rich & Hutchins Funeral Home, 199 Woodford Street, Portland. A Masonic service was conducted at 11 a.m. by the Deering Lodge #183, Portland. Immediately following visitation, a graveside service was held in the South Buxton Cemetery, 1187 River Road, Buxton, with Rev. Phil Shearman officiating.
