MANDARIN, FLA. — Paul Howard Kenerson Sr. USN (RET), 81, of Mandarin, Fla. passed away on Friday, April 1, 2016 in his home surrounded by his loving family.

He was born on July 23, 1934 in Fryeburg, to Percival and Arolin (Jewett) Kenerson. He graduated from Fryeburg Academy in 1954. He enlisted in the U.S. Navy in 1954 and spent 22 years as an aircraft mechanic. After retiring in 1976 as Chief Petty Officer, he spent 15 years working in the Civil Service.

He is survived by his wife of 37 years, Betty Kenerson; sister, Beverly Bartlett of Windham; daughters, Katherine Hibbard of Porter and Susan Arnold of Fleming Island, Fla.; stepdaughter, Laura Gregory; stepson, Steve Grooms of Mandarin, Fla.: 11 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren, many nieces and nephews.

He is predeceased by a son, Paul Howard Kenerson Jr.; and a granddaughter.

Visitation was held on Tuesday, April 5 in Hardage-Giddens Funeral Home of Mandarin. A graveside service was held on Wednesday, April 6 in Jacksonville National Cemetery, 4083 Lannie Road, Jacksonville, Fla. Arrangements by Hardage-Giddens Funeral Home of Mandarin.
