ST. GEORGE, VT. — Norene Polland Edwards, 101, a lifelong resident of Casco, passed away at her daughter’s and son-in-law’s home in St. George, Vt. on Sept. 3, 2011.

She was born on Nov. 9, 1909 in Wales, the daughter of John Polland and Allura Carleton Polland. In 1927, she graduated from Edward Little High School in Auburn. She was married to Stuart Edwards on Nov. 19, 1932 until his death in 2000.

Norene and her husband Stuart enjoyed hunting, fishing, trapping and time spent at their camp in Upton. She was a wonderful and giving daughter, mother, and grandmother who was much loved and will be greatly missed by all her family.
She was predeceased by her brothers Carleton Polland and and Norman Polland; and by her great-grandson.

She is survived by her daughter, Joline Drudi of St. George, Vt.; her son, Perry Edwards of Harrison; nine grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.

In respect of her wishes, there will be no services. Her ashes will be buried at Green Grove Cemetery in Casco at a later date.
