Nancy L. Skillings, 54

DEXTER — Nancy Lea Skillings, 54, formerly of Sebago, passed peacefully Friday, Oct. 19, 2018, at a Dover-Foxcroft hospital, surrounded by close friends and family after a long battle with cancer.

She was born Dec. 18, 1963, in Portland, a daughter of S. Milton and Glenna (Tracey) Skillings Jr. She graduated from Lake Region High School in Bridgton, Class of 1983.

Nancy has enjoyed traveling with her loving husband Ross to many places. She enjoyed cooking, her grandchildren and gardening. Nancy worked as a CNA at many nursing homes. She also was a volunteer driver for Lynx Transportation. She was a member of New Beginnings Bible Church, Sangerville.

In addition to her loving and devoted husband of 32 years, she is survived by a sister and husband, Donna and David Grover of Bridgton; a brother Dana Skillings and partner Mary Coburn of Sebago; a special niece, Jennifer LaPointe and children Hailey and Molly, all of Bangor; and a devoted friend Amy Gauvin of Sangerville.

She was predeceased by her daughter Heather Marie Skillings; her sibling Pamela Jean Goodwin; and her parents.

A celebration of life will be held 11 a.m., Saturday, Oct. 27, at New Beginnings Bible Church, Sangerville. A graveside funeral and committal service will be held at 11 a.m., Monday, Oct. 29, at the Murch Cemetery, Route 302, Casco, with the Rev. William Stone officiating.
