HARRISON — Michael J. Mentus, 64, of Harrison died peacefully on March 25, 2011 after a long illness.

He was born Sept. 2, 1946 in Stoneham, Mass., a son of Michael and Delphia Jean Case Mentus. Michael was a pharmacist, having worked for many years in Bridgton at Rite Aid, Bridgton Pharmacy and Hannaford. He was a member of the Order of Eastern Star, Masons, St. Peter’s Episcopal Church and was involved in the Harrison Bocce League. Michael will be extremely missed by all.

Surviving are his loving wife, Karen Varney Mentus; his children, Tambrey, Tenneyson, Alycia and Robert; his brother, Geoffrey; his sister, Jane; and eight grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. on June 18, 2011 at St. Peter’s Episcopal Church in Bridgton.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Michael’s name may be made to Bridgton Hospital Special Gift, 10 Hospital Drive, Bridgton, ME 04009.
