Mary Ellen Ridlon Brooks Robshaw passed away Saturday, July 16, 2016, at her daughter’s home in Freeport, after a short illness, in peace and with her family by her side.

She was born April 27, 1942, in Sweden, the daughter of William Ridlon and Evelyn (Moore) Ridlon.

In 1960, Mary wed Harvey Brooks. They lived in Freeport and raised five children together.

On December 3, 2011, she married Phillip Robshaw and they made their home in Woolwich.

Mary enjoyed spending her time with her children and many grandchildren. She loved sewing and crafting and always shared her beautiful and sometimes whimsical creations as gifts to family and friends.

She is survived by her loving husband, Phillip of Woolwich; her sister, Gail Bartlett of Sweden; sons, Timothy Brooks of Tampa, Fla., and Thomas Brooks of Topsham; and three daughters, Teresa Safford of Cundy’s Harbor, Tina Baily of Durham, and Tracy Brooks of Freeport; nine grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.

Mary is predeceased by her mother and father; and three brothers, Maynard, Robert and Stanley Ridlon.

A service was held Saturday, July 23, at the Sweden Community Church, Sweden.
