Martin Poulin

NAPLES — Martin Poulin, 86, passed away Tuesday, Jan. 9, 2018, at Seaside Nursing Home, surrounded by family, after prolonged illness.
Martin was born Aug. 31, 1931 and raised in the Waterville area by his parents, Leona Kelly and Elmer Poulin. He entered the military in 1949 serving in the Army, Navy Sea Bees, and two hitches in the Air Force, as an electrical technician and coder. He was retired on disability from Walter Reed Hospital due to paralysis after 17 years of service.
Martin was a fantastic portrait artist and a lover of philosophy. A supportive, positive friend to all, with a great sense of humor. The laughter will be missed.
He is survived by his wife of 47 years, Sue Poulin of Naples; his daughter, Michelle Poulin Northrup of Colorado, and son, Martin Poulin Jr., of California; a granddaughter, Samantha, and great- granddaughter, Katerina. Of 18 siblings, he is survived by two sisters, Betty Foster and Shirley Knox, and a brother, Dick Poulin.
