Marion T. Schroeder, 100

Marion T. Schroeder passed away on Sept. 10, 2012 at the age of 100.

Marion was a schoolteacher for over 30 years and positively impacted the lives of hundreds of students. She had a zest for life that few possess and a kind heart that left everyone better for knowing her. She has left instructions that we laugh and sing when we think of her, which was typical of her amazing spirit.

She was a lifetime Regent for the Daughters of the American Revolution, a member of the Stetson Kindred and New Jersey Teachers Association, a member of the Harrison Historical Society, as well as a treasured member of the United Parish Church of Harrison.

She is survived by her family, Mary Brown of Waterville and Nancy, Kevin and Ben German of New Sharon; as well as countless dear friends.

A celebration of her life was held Tuesday, Sept. 18 at 11 a.m. at the Seventh-day Adventist Church of Harrison.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the United Parish Church, Pastor Franklin Anderson, 77 Main St., Harrison, ME 04040, to help repair the church after a recent fire.
