Lucille A. Kenerson

FRYEBURG — Lucille A. Kenerson, 79, passed away peacefully on Thursday, Nov. 18, 2010, at her home in Fryeburg.

She was born in Portland on Jan. 30, 1931, the daughter of Norman Annis and Bessie Dresser. Lucille graduated from Norway High School and attended Gorham State Teacher’s College. Lucille taught school for many years and worked for the Postal Service, but most of her life was dedicated to working side by side with her husband Bob in several family-owned businesses.

She was an active life member of the Order of Eastern Star, Past Mother Advisor of Rainbow Assembly #42, Frederick Robie Grange, and the First Congregational Church of Fryeburg for many years.
Lucille enjoyed traveling the country with Bob in their fifth-wheel camper. She enjoyed sewing, gardening and skiing. She was also very proud of her beautiful rose garden.

Lucille was predeceased by a son Reginald in 1981.

She is survived by her husband of 59 years Robert; a son Rob of Levant; a daughter Teresa Price of Fryeburg; sister, Nathalie Caler of Arlington, Vt.; numerous close in-laws and stepbrothers and sisters; eight grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

An Eastern Star service followed by a funeral service was held on Tuesday, Nov. 23, at the First Congregational Church, 655 Main Street, Fryeburg. After the service, interment was at Pine Grove Cemetery, Fryeburg followed with a reception at the Masonic Hall on Portland Street. Arrangements are made with Wood Funeral Home, Fryeburg.
