Kent Paul

WINDHAM — Kent Paul, 74, passed away on Thursday, Dec. 24, 2015 at his home with his family by his side.

He was born Dec. 30, 1940 in Houlton, the son of George and Mabel Paul.

At a young age, his family settled in Windham. Kent married the love of his life, Linda Maguire, on Dec. 29, 1962. Kent was a transmission mechanic and for the majority of his career was employed by Portland Transmission. He was a hard worker often getting out of work only to go work nights along side his younger brother “Butch” at his garage in Gorham. He wanted to provide all he could for his family. Kent’s daughters have many fond memories of the many summers spent up to camp on Sebago Lake along with many family and friends. He was a good neighbor, always willing to help someone out whether it be plowing or lending a tool. Kent was a kind, gentle man who had a great sense of humor and loved to joke around with people. He will sadly be missed by those who knew him.

In addition to his parents, he is predeceased by sisters, Joan Paul and Teresa Libby.

Surviving, in addition to his wife of 53 years, Linda, are his daughters, Jody Paul of Windham, Laura Paul of Raymond, foster daughter Darlene Bellows of Anderson, S.C.; brothers, Robert Paul of Portland and Walter “Butch” Paul of Gorham; sisters, Sandra Sawyer of Deltona Fla. and Judy Morin of Casco; along with many nieces and nephews.

Kent requested no formal service, but a gathering of family and friends will be held on Saturday, Jan. 16 at 1 p.m. at the White Rock Community Club, 34 Wilson Road in Gorham, to celebrate his life. Condolences to the family may be expressed at www.dolbyfuneralchapels.com
