SWEDEN — John L. Glover, 81, of Sweden, passed away at his home on March 20, 2013 with his loving canine companion, Manny, at his side.

He was born on Aug. 2, 1931, in the town of Rumford, the son of Harry and Doris Glover.

John served honorably in the Korean War, and was employed as an automotive technician for most of his life.

He loved to tinker and he loved to entertain his children and friends with his guitar while singing some old-time favorites like Ole Shep, and he taught his daughter Kathleen to yodel.

John was predeceased by two brothers, Gene and Lewis; and two sisters, Madeline and Georgia.

He is survived by his wife, Elizabeth Glover; 11 children, Susan, Kathleen, Michael, Patricia, Bruce, John, Leslie, Lisa, Fred, David and Dennis; and two sisters, Alice and Hazel.

John will be dearly missed by his family and friends, and remembered for his simple ways and his lifelong upbeat and positive attitude that stayed with him until the very end. And now, into God’s hands we commend him. May he rest in peace.
