Joanna Rollins Crooker, 81

Joanna Rollins Crooker, 81, of Bridgton, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, June 22, 2015, surrounded by family.

She was born in Bridgton on July 8, 1933, as an only child to Ernest and Hazel Mayberry. Joanna graduated from Bridgton High School in 1951. She was married to Kenneth Rollins for 37 years, until his passing in 1988. She was married to David Crooker of Auburn from 2002 until his passing on June 5th of this year.

Joanna enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, many of which she knew since childhood. On Tuesdays, Joanna loved volunteering at Jeanette's Closet at the First Congregational Church of Bridgton, where she was a lifetime member. She also enjoyed attending Wednesday luncheons and Thursday night Kettle Suppers at the Bridgton Community Center.

She is survived by her seven children, Cynthia and Charlie Phillips of Bridgton, Susan and Bruce Tripp of Bethlehem, Pa., Deborah and Anthony Graffam of Lakeland, Fla., Kenneth and Linda Rollins of Bridgton, Kellie and Joseph O'Brien of Pueblo, Colo., Lori and Bernie King of Bridgton, and Matthew Rollins of Pueblo, Colo. Joanna is also survived by her 14 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by one grandson, Steven Phillips.

Family and friends are invited to attend her memorial service on Sunday, June 28, at 1 p.m., at the First Congregational Church of Bridgton, to be officiated by Reverend Clothier. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the First Congregational Church of Bridgton, or to the Bridgton Community Center in her memory.
