PLANT CITY, FLA. — Herman Dale Baker, 63, of Plant City, Fla., died on Thursday, Jan. 26, 2012 at South Florida Baptist Hospital.

He was born Thursday, July 1, 1948, in Otisfield, the son of the late Lester Baker Sr. and Carol Baker.

He was the beloved husband of Diana Farrar Baker.

He was a mason in the construction business for more than 30 years. After retiring, he began a career driving a truck. He was a U.S. Army veteran, serving in Vietnam. He moved to Plant City in 2009 from Oxford.

Surviving are his wife; his brothers, Sam Skillin, Robert Baker of Harrison and Lester Baker Jr. of Windham; and sisters, Claudia Chapman, Shelia Smith of Harrison and Denise Baker of Harrison.
