Harold Dresser, 79

BUXTON – Harold “Bub” Dresser, 79, passed away peacefully at the Barron Center on Sunday, Dec. 9, 2018, from complications of a bad fall in August.

He was born in St. Johnsbury, Vt., on Nov. 11, 1939, the son of Harold and Mary Sutton Dresser Sr.

He graduated from Danville High School in Vermont. He served in the Vermont National Guard. He worked as a real estate broker and appraiser for many years, retiring to Maine 10 years ago to be closer to his daughters and grandchildren. He also raised and raced Standardbred horses both in Maine and Vermont.

He was predeceased by his sister, Luella Webster and his twin sister, Helena Carson, all of Danville, Vt.

He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Nancy Deblois Dresser of Buxton; daughters Barbara Dresser of Saco and Joanne Myers of Sebago; a sister, Pauline Patterson of Danville, Vt.; two grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

A spring burial will be held in Vermont. Dennett, Craig & Pate Funeral Home, 13 Portland Road, Buxton (Bar Mills) is respectfully handling the arrangements.
