BRIDGTON — Frances V. Wasiuk, 100, of Knights Hill Road, died Saturday,  July 20, 2013, at her home surrounded by her family.

She was born in Rutland, Mass. on May 30, 1913, the youngest of five born to Joseph and Sophia (Kania) Karp. She was raised in Oakham, Mass., and lived many years in Grafton and Uxbridge, Mass. She retired with her husband John to Cape Cod, Mass.

At the age of 85, she bought her home on Knights Hill Road to be near her daughter Jackie.

She was predeceased by her husband John and her grandson Eric.

She is survived by her daughters, Jacquelene (Clinton) White of Bridgton, Jo-Anne Shaffer of Forestdale, Mass., and Judith (Charles) Smith of Franklin, Mass. She is also survived by her ten grandchildren, seventeen great-grandchildren, by her dog Sammy, and special friend Harry Toler.

The family would like to thank Beacon Hospice for their wonderful care, especially Jessica and Wendy, and caregivers Judy and Debbie.

A graveside service will be held at a later date in Whitinsville, Mass. Arrangements are under the care of A.T. Hutchins Funeral and Cremation Services, Portland, Maine.
