Elma H. Heino

SOUTH PARIS — Elma H. Heino, 96, of Sweden died Saturday, April 9, 2011 at Market Square Health Care in South Paris.

She was born in Finland on Dec. 19, 1914, the daughter of Oscar and Hilma Antintytar Anderson. She was educated in Harrison schools. She married William Heino who died in 1963. She worked in shipyards, shoe shops, corn factory, cleaning summer camps, and as a homemaker. She enjoyed many things including birds, gardening, sewing, picking berries, animals — especially cats and hounds, singing and spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

She is survived by two daughters, Priscilla Hilton of Waterford and Barbara Walo of Otisfield; a son, William Heino Jr. of Sweden; six grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her husband; a daughter, Gloria Packard; a grandson; and 10 brothers and sisters.
