SEBAGO — Elizabeth Arlene Bachelder, 92, of Douglas Mtn. Rd., passed away on Saturday, April 8, 2017, at the Bridgton Health Care Center.

She was born in Harrison on Feb. 12, 1925, a daughter of William and Doris Lewis. She attended Harrison schools and married Linwood Bachelder in 1948. They owned and operated several cottages in North Sebago. Arlene worked as a waitress in Rhode Island and Naples. She retired from the Super 8 Motel in Westbrook at the age of 82, and was a loving wife and homemaker.

Arlene was predeceased by her parents; her husband; daughter Jan; brother Donald; and a granddaughter Tiffany. Surviving are her son Forrest of Sebago; two sisters, Imelda Arris and Dorcas Sturtevant; brother Philip; two granddaughters; two very close friends, Delores Robinson and Lawrence Douglas; and many nieces, nephews and friends.

Her funeral was held Wednesday, April 12, at the Church of the Nazarene in East Sebago with Pastor Frank Donald officiating. Special music was provided by Arlene's close friends Mike Preston and Kim Curry. Arlene was buried at the North Sebago Cemetery beside her loving husband.
