Edna S. Walker

HOLLIS — Edna S. Walker, 85, passed away on Nov. 20, 2012 at St. Andre Health Care in Biddeford.

She was born in Portland on March 20, 1927, a daughter of the late Ray and Mary Skillings.

Edna graduated from Portland schools and went on to work for many years at Sylvania in the production department.

She was a member of St. Matthew’s Roman Catholic Church in Limerick and the Hollis Fireman’s Auxiliary.

She will always be remembered for the love she had for her family and friends.

Edna was predeceased by her beloved husband, Fredrick “Ted” Walker.

She is survived by her son, Peter Walker of Sebago; a sister, Rita Romprey of South Portland; three beloved grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

Visiting hours were held on Sunday evening, Nov. 25, at the Dennett, Craig & Pate Funeral Home, located on the corners of Routes 202 and 4A (13 Portland Road) in Buxton (Bar Mills). A Mass of Christian Burial was held on Monday at 9:30 a.m. at St. Matthew’s Roman Catholic Church, located near the corner of Route 11 and Dora Lane in Limerick. Burial followed at Woodlawn Cemetery in Biddeford.
