Earl Silvers III

OLD ORCHARD BEACH — Earl Reed Silvers III, 65, of Old Orchard Beach, died Sunday, June 11, 2017, at Gosnell Hospice after a period of failing health.

He was born in Suffern, N.Y., on April 25, 1952, to Earl Reed Silvers II and Janet Gray Silvers. He had been a resident of Maine for many years.

Reed worked at the Waynflete School for many years. He also had worked at Migis Lodge in South Casco.

Family members include his wife, Pauline C. Barry of Old Orchard Beach; a stepdaughter, Jessica J. Scott of Portland; his mother, Janet Silvers of Portland; a sister, Margaret Myatt of Milford, Mass.; two brothers, Robert G. Silvers of Raymond and Peter K.T. Silvers of Lewiston; a niece and three nephews.

A celebration of Reed’s life will take place at a later date.
