Dorothy K. Force

NORWAY — Dorothy K. Force died Thursday, April 4, 2013, in Norway.

She was born May 13, 1920 in Gorham, the daughter of William Herbert and Nellie "Roberts" Kimball. She graduated from Gorham High School. Through an apprenticeship, she became a popular beautician who, with her kind heart and dedication, provided that service for friends, family, neighbors and the residence of several nursing homes in the area.

Throughout her life, she was a wonderful mother, grandmother, and loyal friend. She never met a stranger and was a positive influence on the lives of many. She had a love and passion for music and for many years sang and played piano with her dance band throughout southern Maine. Dorothy was a wonderful cook whose personal pleasure was gained in sharing her delicious creations with family, friends and customers alike.

Dorothy was predeceased by her husband of 19 years, William Force; a son Charles Hutto Jr.; her parents Nellie and William; brothers Earl, William, and Philip, and her beloved sister Ruth. She is survived by her daughter, Claudia Benge and her husband Charles of Center Lovell; Gary Hutto and his wife Raheegie of Portland; Wayne Hutto of Gorham, and her daughter-in-law Sharon Hoyt of Buxton; grandchildren John and Melody Benge, Scott and Angela Benge, Ty Hutto, Tammy Lewis, and their treasured families.

A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m., Monday, June 3, 2013, at #4 Cemetery in Lovell. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Stoneham Rescue, 8 Butters Hill Rd., Stoneham, ME 042331, or to Fryeburg Rescue, P.O. Box 177, Fryeburg, ME 04037.
