Donna L. Williams, 59

KINGMAN — Donna Lee Williams, 59, of Kingman, died Easter Sunday, March 27, 2016, with many family and friends by her side at Eastern Maine Medical Center in Bangor, 14 years to the day her father Don Thibeau passed away.

She was born on Valentine’s Day, Feb. 14, 1956, in Augusta, a daughter of Donald Thibeau and Mary Gilley.

Donna was a graduate of Gardiner High School. She was a devoted Catholic. She relied on her faith to heal the loss of her son Travis A. Williams in 2004. She was a very tough, courageous, down-to-earth, outgoing and spontaneous, just a few words that describe her. She was dedicated at being a professional domestic engineer for her high school sweetheart, whom she was very proud of. Her hobbies included gardening, fishing, cooking, reading, scrapbooking, and just hanging out.

Donna was vice president of operations for Yankee Airboat Corporation in Sebago for many years. She was a colon cancer survivor, having had many operations and complications from them over the years. Her biggest joys in life were her beautiful grandchildren, whom she loved to spoil. Donna made sure there were plenty of presents under the Christmas tree. She will be missed by many people that looked up to her as a saint.

She was predeceased by her son Travis A. Williams; grandparents Ada and Hazen Chambers; her mother Mary Gilley; her father Don Thibeau; sister Tina Thibeau; and sister-in-law Betty Tomkins.

Donna is survived by her husband of 45 years, Harold Williams; her son Jesse H. Williams; her stepmother Helen Thibeau; brother Donny Thibeau; sister Tammy Rideout; sister-in-law Nancy Bourget; brother-in-law Ronny Waldron; daughters-in-law Jessica K Brown and Shannon Dumont; mother- and father-in-law Yvette and Rodney Waldron; her four grandchildren whom she adored, grandsons: Derek W., Jordan T. and Brayden T. Williams, and granddaughter: Lauren R. Williams; aunt Cynthia Sukeforth; great-aunt Margaret Atkins; a cousin Becky Hanscom; and many other cousins, aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and relatives across the country; and her three hound dogs Lilly, Daisy, and Jay Jay.

Visiting hours were held Friday, April 1st, from 4 to 7 p.m., at Staples Funeral Home, 53 Brunswick Ave. in Gardiner. A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated Saturday, April 2, 2016, at 10 a.m., at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Gardiner.

A reception was held to celebrate Donna’s life following the service at the American Legion Post #4, Griffin St., Gardiner.
