Christine C. Lamma

STEEP FALLS — Christine C. Lamma, 62, of Steep Falls, died unexpectedly on Jan. 1, 2011, at her home.

She was born in Los Angeles, Calif., on June 28, 1948, the daughter of the late Marvin Olson and Jacqueline (Rodgers) Edmiston. Mrs. Lamma was a 1966 graduate of Rio Linda Sr. High School in California. She started her family and raised her three children until their schooling, which is when she became a teacher’s aide in the Rocklin School District in California. Moving to Maine in 1994, she became a special needs assistant at middle schools in the SAD 6 district. Most recently, she had been employed with AAA Northern New England as an account clerk. Mrs. Lamma had a love of the ocean and enjoyed favorite spots including Goat Rock and Jenner-by-the-Sea, Calif. She also loved feeding birds, stained glass and wind chimes.

She shared 42 years of marriage with Robert Lamma of Steep Falls.

In addition to her husband, family members include her children, Pilar Steiner of California, Erin Lopez of Haverhill, Mass. and Caleb Lamma of West Baldwin; a granddaughter; a brother, Rickie Edmiston of Rhode Island; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
