Charles J. Harding

DENMARK — Charles Joseph “Chuck” Harding, 71, passed away at his home in Denmark on Thurs., Dec. 28, 2017.

He was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania on June 21, 1946. He grew up in Bridgton and, after high school, Charles went on to proudly serve in the U.S. Navy.

Over the years he worked as a photographer, bartender, and did hard-hat diving; however, his employment at the Ten Mile River Preserve in Dover Plains, N.Y., was a job he cherished. While working there, he served as a hunting guide and also worked in maintenance and tended the bar at the club house.

Charles will be remembered for the joy he had boating, fishing, target shooting, and doing photography. Chuck lived his life to the fullest.

He is survived by his significant other, Cynthia Lee of Denmark; his mother, Grace Knight of Bridgton; sisters, Marie Huston of Acton, and Carole Coffin and her husband Jeff of Harrison; brother, Murray Harding and his wife Brenda of Denmark; sister, Rose Mary Leonard and her husband Ron of Scarborough; and many nieces and nephews.

Per Chuck’s request, there will be no services. Online condolence messages may be submitted at the Poitras, Neal & York Funeral Home, Cornish website,
