SWEDEN — Charles E. Fulcher, of Sweden, passed away on Wednesday, Aug. 6, 2014, from a brief illness.

He was born in Lynn, Mass., where he attended St. Mary's schools. He was a great football and hockey player in high school. He served his country in the U.S. Marine Corps during the Vietnam War.

He moved to Maine, where he loved the outdoors. He worked construction and ski mountains in the winter. He loved to watch and play sports of all kinds.

He is predeceased by his parents, Louis and Eileen Fulcher, of Sweden, and a sister, Barbara Harmon of Conway, N.H. He is survived by two daughters, Alison Buckley, serving in the U.S. Air Force, and husband Matthew; and Heidi of Lynn, Mass.; three brothers, John Fulcher and Byron of Hollis, James Fulcher and wife Coleen of Eustis, Fla., and Kevin Fulcher and wife Janice of Lynn, Mass.; two sisters, Maureen McNally and husband Mike of Bridgton, and Alison Russo and husband Howard of Florida and Bridgton. He is also survived by his former wife Cheryl Fulcher, and many, many nephews and nieces.

A Celebration of Life will be held at the Town Hall on Rt. 93 in Sweden, Maine, on Sunday, Aug. 24, 2014, from 2 to 6 p.m.
