HARRISON — Charlene G. Woolley, 68, of Harrison, died peacefully at Market Square Health Care Center, Tuesday, March 13, 2018, surrounded by her family.

Charlene was born in Portland on Oct. 15, 1949, to Clarence “Lee” and Bernice Freeman. She graduated from Oxford Hills High School, Class of 1968 and went on to attend the Career Academy in Washington, D.C.

She married Donald E. Woolley on July 18, 1970 and had three children. Charlene started her career in the nursing industry, but her passion for cooking led her to change paths. She was a cook at the Bridgton Academy for several years; then head cook supervisor at Market Square Health Care Center for the remainder of her career.

Charlene enjoyed camping, fishing, trips to the casino, cooking, baking and spending time with her family. She especially loved spending time with her grandchildren. She had a loving, caring heart and will be greatly missed.

She is survived by her husband, Donald; children, Melissa Ayotte, Donald Woolley II and Cynthia Moser, all of Harrison; brother, Gary Freeman of New York; six granddaughters; two great-grandsons; one great-granddaughter on the way; and several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins.

She was predeceased by her parents; and sister, Bernice Woolley.

Visiting hours were held from 6 to 8 p.m. on Friday, March 23, at Hall Funeral Home in Casco. A 2 p.m. funeral service was held Saturday at the United Parish Congregational Church in Harrison.
