ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. — Carleton “Dale” Merriman, 53, passed away unexpectedly on April 20, 2011, in Albuquerque, N.M.

He was born in Portland on Feb. 13, 1958, the son of Ronald D. and Martha-Ann (Stevens) Merriman. Dale was educated in the Gorham school system and was a veteran of the United States Navy. He was employed as a welder by Union Local 412 of Albuquerque, N.M.

Dale was predeceased by his brother Randy in 1975.

He is survived by his father and stepmother, Ronald D. and Celine M. Merriman of Port Charlotte, Fla. and Allagash; his mother and stepfather, Martha A. and George A. Berry of Auburndale, Fla.; his brothers, Kevin W. Merriman of Windham and Patrick A. Merriman of Naples; and his sister, Merri-Ann Merriman of Kensington, Conn.; and nephews and nieces.

Visiting hours will be held on May 14, 2011, from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m., at Dolby Funeral Chapel, 434 River Road, Windham.
