SUMNER — Burton J. Page, 74, of Sumner, passed away Tuesday, Dec. 29, 2015 at his residence after a lengthy illness with his family at his side.

Burton was born in Mechanic Falls on Nov. 14, 1941, a son of Burton J. and Harriet O. (Cash) Page and attended local schools.
 Following high school, Burton entered the U.S. Navy and faithfully served his country for 22 years. He served during the Vietnam War and specialized in Helicopter Maintenance and Hydraulics. Following his retirement from service, he moved to Sumner and worked at Gates Formed Fiber in Auburn for several years.
 He married Sandra Cash on July 15, 2000.

Burton is predeceased by two brothers, Billy and Dale Page.

Surviving are his wife of Sumner; a son, Burton Page III of Middletown, N.J.; a stepson, Ronald Hill of Waterford; four stepdaughters, Patty Richards of Old Orchard Beach, Lisa Smith of Sumner, Jessica Marin of Bethel and Julie Saunders of Sumner; six brothers, Dean Page, Eddie Page, Adrian Boston, Ken Boston, Ricky Boston and Wade Boston; two sisters, Anne and Marjory; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends from 1 to 3 p.m. on Sunday, Jan. 10, 2016 at the Page family residence, 921 Main Street, Sumner. Arrangements are in the care of Chandler Funeral Homes and Cremation Service, 45 Main Street, South Paris.
