Bruce Fadden, 67, of Bridgton, died at Boston’s Mass General Hospital on Saturday, March 17, 2018, with family by his side.

He was born in Farmington, on Sept. 9, 1950, the son of Edna (Stevens) Fadden and the late Reginald Fadden. Bruce spent his younger years in Bridgton, loving the outdoors, playing sports, and after brief times away, always returning to his Bridgton home, which he cherished. Bruce graduated from Oxford Hills High School (1969) in South Paris, and attended American International College and the University of Maine. He worked almost all his life in remodeling and constructing homes, and loving the independence of his own business. He enjoyed playing sports and then coaching his sons and other young boys. He was a scoutmaster in BSA and had leadership and training roles in the Pine Tree Council. Later in life he spent much time playing golf and especially hunting from his beloved camp. His life was fueled by passionately inspiring and helping others. He felt joy in giving, even when that might be personally difficult. That was why others loved Bruce. He will be remembered for his smile, faith and engaging personality which will be missed by his family, friends and anyone he spent time with.

A Remembrance Service will be held at the South Bridgton Congregational Church, 16 Fosterville Road, Bridgton, Maine 04009 on Saturday, March 24, at 1 p.m., with a reception to follow. In lieu of flowers, Bruce would want you to donate to your charity of choice.
