Armande “Amanda” Beaulieu Durgin, 81, of North Bridgton, passed away after a period of declining health on Wednesday, May 27, 2015, at Bridgton Hospital. She was surrounded by family members as she took her last breath at 7:27 p.m., which amazingly also happened to be the same numbers of her and her husband’s 60th wedding anniversary this coming 7/27/15.

Armande was born in Madawaska on July 1, 1933. She was the daughter of Thomas and Melvina Beaulieu.

She met her husband, Edward S. Durgin, in Hartford, Conn., and they married on July 27, 1955, in Harrison.

Armande is survived by her husband Edward of North Bridgton; sons John of Conn., Timothy of Norway; six grandchildren; two daughters-in-law; sister Jean of Conn.; and a brother, Lewellyn of Maine.

She was predeceased by her son Kenneth; and sisters, Sonya and Teresa.

Armande worked at Pleasant Mountain Moccasin in Bridgton for 25 years, retiring in 1999. She was a member of The Church of Christ in South Paris, and really enjoyed being with her brothers and sisters in the church.

Some of her favorite activities were crocheting, dancing, listening to country music, playing cards with friends and spending time with her family.

A graveside service will held at a date and time to be announced.
