Armand Boucher

LEWISTON — Armand Boucher, 96, of Lewiston, passed away Monday, Nov. 5, with his family by his side.

He was born in St. George, Canada, Jan. 18, 1916, the son of the late Johnny and Adeline (Busque) Boucher. In 1939, he married the former Francoise E. Bisson, and together they shared 68 years of marriage, before her death on Dec. 6, 2007.

Prior to his retirement in 1978, he was employed in the textile industry as a tisserand at Bates Manufacturing. He enjoyed helping and caring for all his children and his wife, Francoise.

He is survived by his son, Guy Boucher of Lewiston; his three daughters, Lise Welborne of Harrison, Renee Sehl of Lewiston and Diane Pelletier of Lewiston; nine grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.

A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated at the Basilica of Saints Peter and Paul on Wednesday followed by Commital prayers at St. Peter’s Cemetery.
