PORTLAND — Anna Bongiorno, 86, of Standish, died Friday, March 29, 2013, at New England Rehabilitation Hospital. She was born in Giovinazzo, Italy on Dec. 19, 1926, the daughter of Alphonse and Vincenza Amoia Illuzzi. She married Joseph Bongiorno and had been employed at Fireman’s Fund Insurance Company as a secretary for many years. She was a member of the Westbrook Senior Club.

She is survived by her nephews, Mark and his wife Theresa and their children, and Patrick and his wife Cyndy and their children. She was predeceased by her husband Joseph in 1979, her mother in 1988, and her sister Stella Egan in 2006. Online condolences may be shared with her family at www.chandlerfunerals.com

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, April 6 at 1 p.m. at Chandler Funeral Homes & Cremation Service, 8 Elm Street, Bridgton. Interment will be later in the spring at Forrest Hills Annex Cemetery in Bridgton.
