Althine Wright

LEWISTON — Althine T. Wright, 92, died Friday, April 22, 2016 at Central Maine Medical Center in Lewiston.

She was formerly of Rumford and Oxford.

Born in Mexico on May 2, 1923, she was a daughter of Walter and Helen (Van Alstyne) Tasker. She was a graduate of Stephens High School in Rumford and a 1943 graduate of Bliss Business School.

Althine was married in Portland on May 18, 1946 to Richard L. Wright, who passed away in Rumford on Nov. 19, 1994. Althine spent many years traveling throughout the country. She enjoyed having the family together and fishing and camping with her husband.

Survivors include three daughters, Cheryl Toney of Mesa, Ariz., Jessica Wright of Oxford and Tina Wright of Bridgton; two sons, Alan Wright of Texas and Scott Wright of Maryland; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be private and held at the family’s convenience. Interment will be in the Farrington Morton Cemetery in Mexico.
