FRYEBURG — Alan Potwin, 73, of Fryeburg passed away on Tuesday, Oct. 16, 2018 at Central Maine Medical Center.

He was born in Saco on May 11, 1945, the son of Alton and Grace M. Dixon Potwin.

He married Donna Hamilton and had been a handyman for many years at Gilmore Camps and the Yield House. In his later years, he continued to work as a handyman for any and all in need. He loved riding ATVs, bowling and the Fryeburg Fair.

He is survived by his wife Donna of Fryeburg; his son, Shawn; his sister, Elaine Thompson; and many nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by two sons, Robert and Timothy.

Visitation was held on Sunday, Oct. 21 from 2 to 4 p.m. at Wood Funeral Home, 9 Warren Street, Fryeburg.
