What do you consider as traits that make someone a good citizen? A good citizen is someone who leads by example. They alway try to do their best. They are passionate about what they do, and strive to make the world and their community a better place.

Who has inspired you to be a good citizen and why? My parents are my biggest inspiration for being a good citizen. They have always encouraged me to get involved not only in school, but in the community, as well. At a young age, I played sports, sang in the church choir, and did many school activities. As I have grown, my parents have encouraged me to give back to the groups who have helped me become the person I am today. This is why I help in my community. I want to give back to the people who have influenced my life so much and maybe fill the shoes of those great people.

What have you done to make the school community a better place? I alway try to lead by example in school, whether it is going to events and volunteering, going to sporting and music events and supporting my classmates, and even just showing up to school with a positive attitude. The biggest thing I think anyone can do for their school is to just get involved and be positive. Getting involved creates a stronger and more positive student body, which in turns makes school better for everyone.

Why is volunteerism important? Volunteerism is important because it helps make a stronger community by connecting people and helping to create the next generation of good citizens by setting a good example for future generations.

In the future, what do you see yourself doing to make the world a better place? I see myself becoming a teacher and being a positive influence in my students’ lives. I hope to inspire them to love music and to become good people and citizens by providing them opportunities to give back to their school and community.
