Rotary Club ‘Good Citizen’ — Brooke Chase

Senior Brooke Chase of Naples has been selected as the Bridgton-Lake Region Rotary Club’s “Citizen of the Month” for April.

Each month, the Rotary Club recognizes a Lake Region High School student who displays good citizenship and contributes to the school community. The recipient is honored at a Rotary breakfast meeting and is presented a monetary award.

Activities: Cheerleading, tennis, soccer, dance

Hobbies: Dance and cheerleading
Future plans: Going to Empire Beauty School to become a Cosmetologist.
What do you consider as traits that make someone a good citizen? Honesty.
Who has inspired you to be a good citizen? My mother has taught me so much more then just being a good citizen. She has taught me that honestly is the most important thing too being a good person. She always does the right thing and never quits. Always puts her family first before herself. She’s taught me too always help people and be a leader. I have learned so much from her that makes someone a good citizen.
What have you done to make the school community a better place? I have done community service for National Honors Society.
Why is volunteerism important? Because your putting yourself out there to help something or someone.
In the future, what do you see yourself doing to make the world a better place? Volunteer as much as I can with community service.
