Q. What do you believe are three keys to being a good student? I believe three keys to being a good student are…1.) Stay on top of your work if not ahead of it;2.) Form a strong student teacher relationship; and3.) Utilize class time and other availability during the school day to complete work.

Q. What is your favorite class and why? My favorite class was Ceramics with Mrs. Carlson. Ceramics was a hands-on and creative learning experience different from that of a core class. Mrs. Carlson provided us with general requirements while also allowing us to explore beyond the possibilities of what we could make. The art pieces I made were more than just an assignment but something I had poured love, hard work, and time into.

Q. Who is your favorite teacher and why? My favorite teacher is Ms. Pulito. She was my English teacher sophomore year in English 10 and my junior year in AP Language and Composition. Ms. Pulito is someone who pushes you to be your best. I saw my writing potential exceed in her class. She is always kind, approachable, understanding, and there for you. There was never a time I felt I could not ask her a question or just have a great conversation with her.

Q. If you could change one thing about your educational experience, what would it be and why? I would have full year long courses versus having quarter long or semester long courses. Having quarter or semester long courses requires teachers and students to learn more information in a very short period of time. Therefore, many students struggle to keep up with their course load. I believe that students would be more productive and excel in their learning.

Q. What accomplishment are you most proud of, and why? I am most proud of all the volunteering opportunities I have taken part in due to being a part of Interact Club and the National Honor Society.
