Q. What do you believe are three keys to being a good student? Creating an interest in the tasks you’re doing; Being attentive in class and asking questions when you have them; Having good self-motivation.

Q. What is your favorite class and why? My favorite class has to be Algebra 2. I took that class as a sophomore and I really enjoyed it. Mr. Snow made it fun and easy to understand, even if it wasn’t the most difficult thing in the world.

Q. Who is your favorite teacher and why? My favorite teacher is Mr. Smith. I was in his AP Psych class and U.S. History as a sophomore. He makes class fun and teaches with personal anecdotes from his own life and gets to know his students enough that he’ll use anecdotes from our lives too, which makes some more confusing things easier to understand.

Q. If you could change one thing about your educational experience, what would it be and why? In high school, I would’ve liked to have classes offered that teach more life skills, not just classes that fill graduation requirements.

Q. What accomplishment are you most proud of, and why? I take great pride in my athletic achievements, having played varsity field hockey, lacrosse and I am a varsity ski racer, throughout my four years at Lake Region. I have earned Western Maine Conference All-State recognition in both field hockey and skiing, and I have been named the Varsity Alpine Skier of the Year twice. My journey with athletics has not only provided me with valuable lessons in athletics, but has also fueled my passion for my future career goals.
