If there is a job to do on the Lake Region varsity boys’ soccer team, Matthew Plummer is willing to step into any role to support the team, Coach Ryan Harlow said.

“Matthew was selected as captain this preseason because of his hard work and his ability to lead the team,” Coach Harlow said. “His positive demeanor and communication are key factors in helping this young team. He has worked hard all summer to put himself in a starting position and leadership role.”

In recognition of his strong work ethic, determination, commitment and good sportsmanship, Matthew is this week’s Boosters and Hancock Lumber “Player of the Week.” Each week, a Lake Region athlete is recognized for his/her dedication (does more than what is asked), work ethic, coachability and academic good standing. Recipients receive a specially-designed t-shirt, sponsored by Hancock Lumber.
