Michael Rogers

Michael Todd Rogers, 51, unexpectedly passed away on Wednesday, May 22, 2019.

He was born on February 29, 1968, in Connecticut. He was raised in Bridgton, Maine

He was an accomplished auto mechanic, skilled woodworker, and proficient at fixing electronics. He worked well with his hands and thoroughly enjoyed tinkering. He was always willing to help family and friends fix just about anything. He loved building Legos and playing with Hot Wheels with his grandson, who called him Pappie.

Mike worked as a boat builder at Sabre Yachts for many years. Most recently, he was working in Maintenance at Salmon Point Campground for the town of Bridgton.

He leaves behind his fiancée of 24 years, Lisa Stanley Smith; stepdaughter and her husband, Timberlee Stanley-Wentworth and Nathan Wentworth and grandson, Cole Wentworth; stepson Bryan Smith, stepson and his girlfriend, Chad Smith and Krista Laughlin; mother and stepfather, Beverly and David Berry; stepbrother and his family, Josh, Kim, Sarah and Jill Berry; stepbrother and his family, Jesse, Shannon, Hunter and Rhiannon Berry; father, John H. Rogers Jr.; nephew, Lucas Rogers; cousins, Lisa Whitaker, Loran Marquez, Yvonne Alaniz, Kevin Cannell, and Stephen Cannell; along with many other loved ones.

Mike was predeceased by his brother, John W. Rogers; maternal grandparents, Warren and Dorothy Cannell; paternal grandparents, Dorothy Field, Frances and John H. Rogers Sr.

A graveside service will be held at Forest Hill Cemetery, located on Kansas Road, in Bridgton, at 1 p.m., on Sunday, June 9th. A celebration of life will follow the service at the homes of Lisa, Beverly and David.

In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting donations be made in Mike's memory to Harvest Hills Animal Shelter.
