John Watkins, 73, of Bridgton, passed away on Monday, June 10, 2019, after a long battle with cancer.

He was born Feb. 17, 1946, a son of Russel and Edna Watkins. He loved watching NASCAR racing and going to different local tracks. He raced at Oxford Plains Speed-way, where he met some wonderful friends.

He is survived by his wife Donna; sons Rusty, Scott and wife Tabi; grandchildren, McKenzie, Brittany and husband Jordan and Justin; brothers, Darryl and wife Carol, Reg and wife Esther; cousin Gwen and three special ladies, Kim, Nicole and Meghan; several nieces and nephews; extended family, the McDaniels; and many special friends. He was predeceased by his parents.
