Deputy discovers meth lab in Raymond garage

PC meth lab in Raymond copyRAYMOND — For the 15th time this year, the Maine Drug Enforcement Agency (MDEA) has responded to a meth lab — this time in Raymond.

Drug agents responded Tuesday to 1261 Roosevelt Trail after a Cumberland County deputy discovered the lab in the morning. The deputy was there to check on a probation violation against James Foss of Raymond and made the discovery. Foss was arrested for that violation and taken to the Cumberland County Jail. Last summer, Foss was arrested by MDEA on meth charges, according to law enforcement.

The MDEA meth lab team dismantled the lab Tuesday afternoon. The owner of the garage had no knowledge of drug-making activity, according to law enforcement officials. Foss was an employee there. Drug agents will likely lodge additional meth-related charges against Foss once they have analyzed what was seized.
