WINDHAM — Calvin W. Simpson, 87, passed away on March 16, 2012, at Maine Medical Center in Portland.

He was born on Aug. 15, 1924, in Saco, to the late Mildred and Henry Simpson.

He retired from the Maine State Police in 1975 and later, to keep busy, worked at Point Sebago Campground in Casco for 10 years.

On Oct. 14, 1950, Calvin married Christina (Tina) Calucci. Tina and Cal were married 61 years last Oct. 14, 2011.

Calvin is survived by two children, Calvin J. of Alfred and Richard M. Simpson of Hollis. He also leaves behind five grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
