DAR honors students with Good Citizen Awards

The Molly Ockett Chapter, NSDAR, honored outstanding area seniors as DAR Good Citizens at a ceremony on Saturday, March 9, at the Bridgton Community Center.
The DAR Good Citizen program and scholarship contest is intended to encourage and reward the qualities of good citizenship: dependability, service, leadership, and patriotism. The program is open to all senior class students enrolled in accredited public or private schools. Students were selected by their schools.
The area DAR Good Citizen Award recipients for 2024-2025 are Holden Edenbach of Fryeburg Academy; Jared Ellingwood of Sacopee Valley High School; Charlotte Merrill of Leavitt Area High School; Madelyn McDougall of Lake Region High School; Emily Sanborn of Oxford Hill Comprehensive High School; and Gabrielle Thompson of Telstar High School. Congratulations to each of these remarkable students!
