James R. Larrabee

James R. Larrabee, 76, passed away peacefully on August 19, 2023, at Gosnell Hospice House in Scarborough, after a three-year battle with cancer.
He was born September 16, 1946, in Scarborough, the son of Edward Larrabee and Eva (Lee) Swin- burne-Larrabee. Jim or “Fluffy” (as he was known by some) grew up in Bridgton and graduated from Bridgton High School.
Jim was a volunteer firefighter for 30 plus years in the Bridgton Fire Department. Jim was also a
business owner of “Larrabee’s Rubbish and Recycling” for over 30 years. He was a lover of dogs and shared his life with many over the years.
Jim was predeceased by his parents and two sisters.
He is survived by his longtime love and partner, Darlene Pelletier, who were together almost 30 years. He is also survived by his twin daughters Rebecca Trischuk and husband Stephen of Clinton, Mass., and Roberta Rappoccio and husband Salvatore and his two grandchildren Salvatore and Vivianna Rappoccio of Williamsville N.Y., his younger brother Jay Larrabee, and his wife Jennifer, along with his nieces Kaitlyn and Kimberly and nephew Michael Larrabee, who reside in Bridgton.
