Sylvia Moynihan

Sylvia A. Moynihan, 82, of Bridgton, passed away on Tuesday, Oct. 30, 2018, at Bridgton Health Care Center.

She was born in Bridgton on Nov. 13, 1935, the daughter of Claude and Hazel Hartford Moynihan. She graduated from Bridgton High School and had been employed by Tony Gallinari, J.R. Mains, Swanson’s and Renys. She retired from Bridgton Hospital, after working as a dietary aid.

She enjoyed visits from her beloved older sister, Claudia, every summer, and spending time with family. She loved gardening, being outside, animals and bird watching. She also loved to watch movies.

She is survived by her sister, Claudia Shapiro and husband Lester; nieces, Hazel Shaw and Pat Shaw; and her nephew, Michael Shapiro, his wife Tracy, and children Ari and Skylar. She was predeceased by her parents; and her sister, Hazel Shaw.

Family and friends may attend visitation on Saturday, Nov. 10, from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m., at Chandler Funeral Home, 8 Elm Street, Bridgton.
