Sharon Violette

SOUTH PORTLAND — Sharon Louise (Cardona) Violette, 67, of South Portland, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, Sept. 27, 2014, at Maine Medical Center.

She was born on Aug. 5, 1947, the daughter of William and Mary (Killinger) Cardona. Sharon attended local schools.

She was a former communicant of St. Dominic’s Church and also the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception.

Sharon worked for Goodwill Industries for many years. She loved spending time with her family and loved her granddaughter very much.

She was predeceased by her husband, Daniel Violette in 1996; her sister, Jeanne Cram; and her parents.

She is survived by a son, William Violette of Wailua, Hawaii; a grandchild; three sisters, Mary Jane Haycock of Biddeford, Deborah Norton of Pittsfield and Ann Marie Haycock of Raymond; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Visiting hours will be held from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 2, at Conroy-Tully Crawford South Portland Chapel, 1024 Broadway, South Portland. A 10 a.m. funeral service will be held at the South Portland Chapel on Friday. Burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery, South Portland.
