William True

DENMARK — William J. True, 84, of Denmark, died peacefully on Wednesday, Oct. 24, 2018, at his home surrounded by his family.

William was born on May 13, 1934, to William and Catherine True. He attended local schools and graduated from Fryeburg Academy in 1952 and NY State Forestry School in 1954.

He met the love of his life, Georgette Champagne, in 1953, and they married in 1954.

He joined the Army in 1954, and proudly served until 1956. In the years which followed, Bill and Georgette went on to adopt five children from the Good Samaritan Agency in Bangor. Bill supported his family as a realtor, architect, land surveyor and a truck driver until he retired.

He is survived by his loving wife of 64 years, Georgette; his five children Richmond, Robin, Rebecca, Randall and Renee; 12 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. He was loved deeply by all.

There will be a private family funeral.
