William E. Sinnett Jr.

WINDHAM — William E. Sinnett Jr., 45, passed away unexpectedly Thursday, Sept. 2, 2010.

He was born Dec. 7,1964 in Portland, a son of William E. Sinnett Sr. and the late Diane L. Jacobs.

William attended Portland schools. He served in the United States Army. He was an avid athlete, including wrestling, baseball and basketball throughout his life. He was a two-time pool state champion. He was a huge New York Yankee fan and enjoyed going to see a game at New York Stadium.

William had a beautiful heart and had such a deep love for people. He was a friend of Bill W. for eight years.

His favorite job was being a lobsterman. He felt such serenity and had a great love for the ocean.

He is survived by his wife, Christina Leavitt Sinnett of Windham; two sons, Derek Sinnett of Portland and Barrett Sinnett of Rumford; two daughters, Danielle Sinnett of Portland and Bethany Sinnett of Sanford; father, William E. Sinnett Sr. of Westbrook, stepmother, Sharon Sinnett of Westbrook; grandmother, Viola Silver of Westbrook; three brothers, Michael Sinnett of Gorham, Jody Sinnett of Westbrook and Todd Jacobs of Westbrook; three sisters, Kimberly Smart of Casco, Lisa Boure of South Portland and Rhianna Jacobs of Westbrook; one granddaughter; many nieces and nephews who called him Uncle Wilbur; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.

His service will be held at 1 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 18, 2010 at the Sahara Club on Washington Avenue in Portland. Arrangements handled by Dolby Funeral Chapel, Windham.
