Willett A. Brown

SCARBOROUGH — Willett A. Brown, 77, of Harrison, died Wednesday, Oct.. 26 at Gosnell Memorial Hospice House. He was born in Troy, Pa. on Dec. 10, 1933, the son of Richard and Pauline Warner Brown. He graduated from Troy High School and served his country in the U.S. Air Force and the U.S. Marines. He had been in the fire and rescue field for many years at Pineland Fire Dept., Windham Fire Dept., Troy Fire Dept. and the Poland Spring Fire Dept. He was with the Scarborough Police and Cumberland County Sheriffs Departments. He also worked at Shawnee Peak, Camp Wildwood, and worked as a security guard. He was a member of the Lions Club.

He is survived by his daughters, Rose Morris and Ronald of Windham, and Brenda Greenleaf of Gray; five grandchildren, Jeremy Greenleaf, Justin Grass, Brittany Greenleaf, Zachery Grass and Brandi Greenleaf; five greatgrandchildren, Alyssa Cressey, Taylor Cressey, Callie Cressey, Aaron Donahue and Nathaniel Grass; and several nieces and nephews in Pa.

Funeral services were held on Monday, Oct. 31 at noon at Chandler Funeral Homes & Cremation Service, 8 Elm St., Bridgton. Interment followed at Bolsters Mills Cemetery in Harrison. Family and friends attended a time of visitation from 10 to 12 noon prior to the service.
