Waverlet R. Sanborn

CASCO — Waverlet R. Sanborn, 80, passed away on Oct. 2, 2010, at her home in Casco.

She was born on June 27, 1930, in Standish, the daughter of Ray and Florence Manchester Harmon. Waverlet was educated in Standish schools. She worked at the Cornish Dress Shop and retired from Sebago Moc Inc.

She enjoyed playing bingo, listening to old country music and watching game shows on television.

Waverlet will be greatly missed by family and friends and fondly remembered by all who knew her.

Waverlet is survived by 10 children, Norwood Jr. of Baldwin, Wanda Sanborn of Windham, Sandra of Florida, William of Scarborough, David of Florida, Wendy Naylor of Casco, Victoria Riggs of Standish, Debra Logan of Westbrook, Jodi Sanborn of Windham and Jeff Sanborn of Windham; two sisters, Helen Burnell and Marion Douglass; a brother, Norman Harmon; 24 grandchildren; 43 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.

She was predeceased by her husband of 60 years, Norwood Sanborn Sr. (2005); her son Walter Sanborn (2009); and several brothers and sisters.

A graveside service will be held on Friday, Oct. 8, at 11 a.m., at Friendship Cemetery, Richville Road (Route 114) in Standish. Arrangements are by the Dolby Funeral Chapel, 434 River Road, Windham. Online condolences may be made at www.dolbyfuneralchapel.com
